Saber-Hightower's team of real estate professionals has decades of experience in ground-up development, with a concentration in multifamily. By combining forces, Saber Real Estate Advisors and Hightower Development, LLC. have created a formidable partnership with significant synergies. With a track record of over 30 years, our team has completed nearly $3.0 billion in developments. Saber-Hightower has built, owned and operated multi-family residential, retail and mixed-use communities, assisted living, skilled care as well as high end hotels. We have a proven track record of successfully navigating complex approval processes and redeveloping underutilized sites, creating enormous value in the process. Saber-Hightower has completed the ground-up development of all its projects. The Principals, through their decades of building successful relationships combined with unblemished track records and reputations have superior access to market opportunities.

    1800 E. Hallandale

    Saber Hallandale, LLC bought the 1.4-acre property on Hallandale Beach Boulevard located one-half mile from the beach and will be developing a mixed-use project consisting of condominium and/or hotel and 12,000 square feet of high-end retail and restaurants.

    The River Club

    Saber acquired a 13.3-acre multi-family development site at West Fort Lee Road in the Township of Bogota, N.J., on the eastern banks of the Hackensack River. Construction is underway on the community, which includes 453 luxury rental units on a beautiful riverfront setting with first-class amenities, a luxurious clubhouse and outdoor heated pool along a river-front walkway. The development will be completed and reach stabilization by summer, 2022. PCD Development is Saber’s development partner.

    Hudson Heritage

    Saber POK, LLC is the Development Manager of the former Hudson River State Hospital, a New York State-owned property that spans more than 156 acres of prime land on the Route 9 commercial corridor across from Marist College in the Town of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. In a complex transaction involving a number of local and state programs, Saber procured all entitlement and approvals, and is under construction for a $300 million plus mixed-use community comprising 750 units of housing and 350,000 square feet of commercial, medical, hotel and conference center.

    The Mitchell

    The Mitchell, developed and operated by the Hightower team when at Quarterra, is an urban infill project located in the “Main and Main” heart of White Plains’ restaurant row and downtown. The project consists of 434 luxury residential apartments and approximately 8,000 SF of ground floor retail across three buildings ranging from 6-stories to 15-stories. Construction was completed in 2022 and has been operating successfully at market-leading rent levels. The interior design and amenity package set The Mitchell apart from the competition and set a new trend for luxury residential living in White Plains. Additionally, The Mitchell’s downtown location presented logistical challenges which showed the strength of the development and construction team’s execution ability.

    Saber is developing 124 residential rental units in two buildings on separate parcels at 97-111 and 100-114 Hale Avenue in White Plains, N.Y. The site is adjacent to Whole Foods and Dicks Sporting Goods immediately to the north, Nordstrom Department Store (at the Westchester Mall), the proposed Lennar high-rise development to the west and the La Gianna apartments to the south. The project is under construction and stabilization is expected in 2024. PCD Development and Lighthouse Living are Saber’s development partners.

    When at Quarterra, the Hightower team developed The Smyth, a ground-up development featuring 414 residential apartments located in the heart of Downtown Stamford. The Project includes a landscaped roof amenity deck, approximately 16,000 SF of lobby/leasing/amenity space, and about 19,000 SF of ground floor retail. The building is a 17-story structure consisting of light-gauge structure over a podium. The interior design and amenity package are unparalleled in the Stamford market. The attached parking structure meets the parking needs of both residents and retail customers. Construction was recently completed in early 2023 and the development has been successfully leasing.

The Lively

Located in Downtown Jersey City and two blocks from the PATH station, 321 Warren, also known as The Lively, is a fully-built residential building with 180 apartment homes.  The Hightower team developed this project while at Quarterra. The building includes a 1,500 SF coffee shop and a 14,200 SF arts center featuring the first non-profit theater in the local arts district.  The Project’s exterior was designed to provide homage to the historic designs throughout the Powerhouse Arts District and to highlight the project’s commitment to the Arts.

The Jefferson

Located immediately adjacent to the LIRR train station in Farmingdale NY, Greg Belew redeveloped this former industrial site while at TDI/JPI Companies.  Featuring 180 units spread over two buildings, this transit-oriented development also has 18,000 SF of retail, anchored by Starbucks.

Paddock Estates

Located in a picturesque setting just off of the I-495 loop outside of Boston, Greg Belew developed this 244 unit garden-style community while at TDI/JPI Companies.  This popular development which leased quickly consists of 11 three-story buildings surrounded by lush woods and horse pastures.  The robust amenity package and clubhouse feature an equestrian theme

Rivertown Square

Saber completed and sold Rivertowns Square, a 420,000-square-foot mixed-use open-air development of retail, restaurants and lodging off the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. The center encapsulates existing retail and New York Sports Club.  The property was sold in April 2018 to Regency  Centers.

Saber developed this 32,000-square-foot retail center and 127-space garage at the northwest corner of Alton Road and 18th Street in Miami Beach, Fla. Tenants include Michaels Companies, CitiBank, N.A. and Starbucks.

The Collection

Saber purchased and assembled the parcels and subsequently obtained all approvals for The Collections, a 1.3 Million square-feet mixed-use development on 2.5 acres near intersection of Westchester Avenue and Bloomingdale Road in White Plains, N.Y. The Collection comprises a 155-room hotel, 276 luxury rental apartments (inclusive of a Westchester County IDA PILOT), 25,000 square feet of retail, and a 300-car parking garage owned by the City of White Plains.

Ritz Carlton South Beach

As part of a $110 million renovation, two-and-a-half floors were added to the former DiLido Hotel to create a 5-star Ritz-Carlton hotel comprising 385 rooms and suites, ballrooms, restaurants and retail space. The property is located directly on the beach in South Beach, Fla. The Principals of McCann Development (Saber’s predecessor) were General Partners of the development.

Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove

The Ritz-Carlton hotel and residences comprises two, 22-story towers on a 560,000-square-foot parcel. The development features a 5-star, 115-room Ritz-Carlton hotel, 44 Ritz Carlton hotel condominiums and a residential tower with 131 condominiums. The Principals of McCann Development (Saber’s predecessor) were Managing Members of the development.
